Introductions

Hello everyone!

My name is Kendra, I'm a 24 year-old, Asian-American girl, born in Honolulu, Hawaii. I'm currently living just a few minutes outside our nation's capital - Washington D.C. I'm a student/patient advocate for my boyfriend. Speaking of which, I just wanted to go ahead and introduce my boyfriend as well. His name is Mike and we've been together since my junior year of high school. So all in all we've been together for almost seven years this upcoming April. ^_^ The reason that I am his patient advocate is because he has Cystic Fibrosis. Cystic Fibrosis or CF is a genetic disease that primarily affects the lungs and digestive tract; which all together means his lungs and digestive system don't work. So due to his CF we are in the process of getting approved for a bilateral lung transplant. Thankfully at the most recent transplant appointment we were told that Mike should be listed within the first two weeks of the new year! We're both very excited about it but it's also a very scary thing to go through.

I started this blog for my own benefit really and for the benefit of anyone who felt like reading it. :) I come up with a lot of ideas so I like to write them down and have them somewhere I can refer to easily in the future. I also like having someplace to write my opinions and reviews on products that I love or products that I think are complete crap. So even if no one else reads this, it's still serving a purpose just 'cause I sometimes have a hard time remembering if I liked a product or not, haha! :D

If anyone does read this, I think it's important when taking these tips/ideas to do your best to apply them to your life, budget and personal taste and skill as best you can. I'm here to offer help, ideas and suggestions. I have no real professional training in cosmetology - yet - so what I'm saying is that please don't feel that I'm not open to tips and suggestions as well. Trust me, I could use all the help I can get, haha! I also encourage you to take the ideas or tips you find here and make them your own and to share. ^_~*
